Baking Tips

This week my co-workers and I decided to have a bake-sale for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of PEI. I tried my hand at baking and have a few tips.
1. Its cheaper to buy.
2. Wax paper should not be put in the oven.
3. The cookies will expand so give them space to grow
4. Replace the battery in the smoke detecter after you finish
5. Charity has really bad profit margins. 75% of the proceeds are going to the cause. That mean for every dollar of goods we sell on $0.25 is gonna line our pockets.

I hope everyone has a great weekend cause mine is porbably gonna be tons of fun...i'll explain later.

Go Canada! Go!

For Sale

I got some sweet games for sale on Kijiji now and i thought I would make my ad campaign a little more integrated across a few outlets. So I'll blog it here then watchout for my tweet and facebook post. I think this picture will sell it no problem. I'm asking $300. I paid $250 originally and I think the value has only gone up since then.

Rental Weather

Yesterdaywas the perfect day to stay inside and watch some olympics. It was definitely a good day to not have to shovel. This must be what its like to live somewhere tropical.

Snow Day

The snow is really coming down here and it doesn't look like a plow has even touched the streets downtown. This storm really couldn't have come at a better time. I just picked up my new TV and have to spend the day on the phone with Bell trying to get their prices down and get me the most HD possible!

Snow Business

I've been taking pictures but haven't been posting them because I really don't want to split up my library. I finally caved in and am going to attempt a bit of an experiment. Over the past several weeks I have been mac-less and consquently my life has been fairly joyless. With nowhere else to turn I have downloaded Picasa from Google. I'll take a look and compare it to iPhoto. So far it seems pretty good but we'll see what happens. iLife 2010 should be coming out soon and the new macbooks pros are on their way so hopefully I won't have to slum it for much longer.

Really Big Shoe

Today marks 46th anniversary of The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. Way back when late night TV was all about the music, Music was all about the hair, and teenage girls...well teenage girls are still extremely annoying (yes they did get this one right but even a broken clock is right twice a day).

Here is their complete performance from that night...thank you YouTube!

1. Twist and Shout, Please Please Me, I Want To Hold Your Hand

2. All My Loving, Till There Was You, She Loves You

3. I Saw Her Standing There, I Want To Hold Your Hand (Again?!)

Here is a CBS report on The Fab Four. Wait for the reporter to ask them about the public getting tired of them and moving on to a new fad. I bet he thought he was so smart. Now he is probably dead and the Beatles are still popular.
